We are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Events and Recreation Team Member at our property in Groveland, CA, five mile outside the west gate entrance to Yosemite National Park. The successful candidates will assist in creating, managing and executing all events of the resort for the betterment of the guests’ experience.

The Events and Recreation Department is responsible for the execution of all recreation, activities, and events at Yosemite Lakes RV Resort and Campground.  This position interacts with resort guests and the greater public to provide a fun and welcoming environment.  All members of the Recreation Department will act as the “face” of Yosemite Lakes and strive to exceed guest satisfaction.  Department tasks include, but are not limited to, arts and crafts, special events, assistance in sport programs, outdoor games, and concessions. 


  • Facilitate the execution of all activities and events to include planning, set up, and break down            Monitoring the issuance and use of recreation equipment
  • Act as “Area Experts” to provide area information and guidance to guests
  • Promotion of upcoming operations
  • Use consensus decision making to resolve all issues
  • Maintain and use an action register to log all continuous improvement efforts
  • Operate cash register in limited retail environment
  • As needed, assist other sections with resort operations 

Skills required:

  • Demonstrate excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to communicate with a variety of people, verbally and in writing
  • Must possess the ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with other people                                Must have patience, tact, a positive disposition and enthusiasm                                                              Must work weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to handle multiple projects, deal with interruptions, adjust and schedule priorities as required, meet deadlines, and work independently.
  • Ability to lead and instruct youth, adults, and seniors in a variety of recreational activities.
  • Ability to process monetary transactions and make change

Requirements include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record along with auto insurance
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
